The day of love is just around the corner as Valentines’ Day emerges. The day of loving sweets is just around the corner, especially easy to make sweets. These Valentines’ treats are not only simple to make but you will end up wanting to eat it all before you give it your friends or lover. Either way, these special sweets are perfect to give to others or to simply indulge on your own.

Want a sweet that mimics the famous boxed candies all over the stores? The Candy-box caramels merely require 12 ounces of chocolate or candy coating of your choice and a 14-ounce package of vanilla caramels. Simply melt the candy coating in the microwave until thoroughly melted, then dip the caramels in the coating and let it dry. You can add valentines sprinkles, or drizzle pink or red candy coating to make it into a Valentine’s specified treat. The result will leave you with a chewy caramel truffle full of sweetness.

Don’t want to buy the $1 boxes of chocolate from Walmart, but want to make something equally easy and delicious for someone? M&M fudge requires only 3 ingredients: 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 2 cups white or regular chocolate and 1 bag of Valentine’s Day M&Ms. Melt the condensed milk and chocolate over medium-low heat. Mix until smooth. Then put some M&Ms into the mixture. Pour the mixture into a pan lined with wax paper and pour the remaining M&Ms on top. Add sprinkles too if you want. Allow it to cool and voíla, a rich treat packed with crunchy M&Ms is what you have in store.

Want a snack while looking like a snack on your Valentines Day? Valentine’s trail mix is the way to go: 1 cup granola, 1 cup salted pretzels, 1 cup chocolate pieces and your choice of dried fruits (cranberries, cherries) is all you need. Separate the granola and pretzels. Melt ⅔ of the chocolate and drizzle it onto both and let it cool. Cut the granola and pretzels into smaller pieces if needed, then simply mix everything together. The chocolate coated pretzels and granola will provide the perfect blend of salty and sweet, with subtly sour fruits bringing in a well-rounded snack.

These are only a few of the many treats you can make on Valentine’s day at home whether it be for your single self, friends or lover. Either way, they will put you in the Valentine’s spirit as you indulge in delicious sweets on a day where sweets take over us all.
