If anyone has enjoyed watching the oddly interesting supernatural series “The Vampire Diaries” or the other related show “The Originals,” they should watch the spin off TV series “Legacies.” This new series shows most of the characters grown up and revived. It is hard to imagine a show with more of a pre-established audience than a young adult supernatural drama that is a spin off of another spin off.

This show focuses on character Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell), the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) who is the main character for “The Originals.” Hope grew up throughout the show of The Originals, and attends a boarding school designed for kids with supernatural abilities. She is a tribrid, which is a combination of vampire, werewolf and witch. She struggles with being the only one of her kind, while also dealing with all of the struggles of all of the other kids’ drama at the school on top of the monsters attempting to attack the school.

Some characters like Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) and Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen), who are both characters in  “The Vampire Diaries” are seen throughout “Legacies” as well. The amount of content taken from “The Originals” and “The Vampire Diaries” is shocking and overwhelming.

The series is based in Mystic Falls and is centered around The Salvatore House which can be seen in all three series, named after the Salvatore brothers. This mansion is a big contribution to both “The Vampire Diaries” and “Legacies,” carrying another link between the main show and this spinoff.

The mid-season finale of “Legacies” left many questions unanswered and looking forward to more continuation of the series. “Legacies” is something that people should definitely check out: It is a heart warming, dramatic, mysterious TV show that is worthwhile. Each of the episodes are different and provide more clues and more details to what is going to happen next.

If interested in the series, all three shows are available to stream on Netflix.
