Gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies has recently opened a new location in Edmond, Okla. located on the I-35 Frontage Rd. Composing a new array of flavors each week, Crumbl is sure to have something for everyone to enjoy. If there’s nothing particularly appetizing that week, there will be brand new flavors in the following week.

The new location opened on Friday Jan. 21, and I visited the following Monday. I paid close to $15 for a box of four cookies of my choice. I chose a chocolate cake cookie, an iced sugar cookie, an oatmeal cookie with Rolos and a milk chocolate chip cookie. My favorite of the bunch was the milk chocolate chip cookie. The store offers this flavor all year while the five other flavors constantly rotate.

Their cookies are very large and sweet, receiving a big bang for the buck it costs. Four large high quality cookies that will serve people two to three times per cookie for only $15 is very worth the price.

Not only does Crumbl serve cookies, they also serve ice cream. They carry six ice cream flavors that stay consistent. A delicious combination is a scoop of cold ice cream over one of their warmed cookies.

For those searching for a sugar overload, there are always plenty of options at Crumbl. Some previous options are the chocolate cake cookie, chocolate Oreo cookie and a banana cream pie flavor. However there are options for those who aren’t as keen on sugary things. Their iconic milk chocolate chip cookie is a perfect mix of sweet and slightly salty. I can guarantee that no matter what cookie is chosen, the texture will always be perfect: chewy, soft and melts in the mouth.

For hardcore fans, Crumbl offers a rewards program within their app. For every $2 spent, a “crumb” is earned. Once 100 “crumbs” are earned, $10 will be taken off your next order or can be saved up to buy more cookies. They call this “Crumbl Cash,” a clever play off of Kohl’s Cash. Keeping up with modern times, Crumbl has designed a successful app that makes choosing and picking up an order much easier and quicker.

However, a critique of the store is the lack of diverse dietary options. Many have complained about the small amount of vegan and gluten-free options. The lack of these potential flavors lessens the amount of customers who are able to buy from the company.

Although this is a problem, I think it says a lot that so many people have heard about how good the cookies are that they are advocating for cookies that can suit their needs. The store has seen immense success within its first few weeks of being open, receiving a 4.8 out of five stars on Google Reviews. Crumbl has quickly become a fan favorite dessert spot in Edmond, with a range of delicious cookie and ice cream flavors to choose from.
