Baby Groot’s new spin-off show
September 9, 2022
Marvel has come out with a new mini-series about Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy.” It takes place after “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” released in 2017 with Baby Groot on the ship with the other Guardians. This five-part series shows all of the fun expeditions that Groot takes around the galaxy. It’s currently only available on Disney+.
The short series is directed by Kirsten Lepore and stars Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket and being composed by Daniele Luppi.
The first episode starts when Groot is still in his plant pot being taken care of by robots, until his pot cracks and the robots take him away. The robots come back with another plant and start taking care of it.
The next two episodes take place on different planets. One shows Groot making a small house out of sticks, which is being taken away and destroyed by birds. The other episode shows Groot making a hot tub out of extrastriatal plants.
The last two episodes show Groot’s adventures inside the ship. The first one is him trying to chase an anonymous creature around their ship destroying things around him. The final episode is when Groot is making a mess of the ship to make a drawing of the Guardians.
This show has lots of upsides to their stories that have baby Groot doing silly things in outerspace. Baby Groot is the equivalent of Star Wars’s Baby Yoda. The adventures keeps moving and the action rarely shows slower moments to let the audience catch up.
The downsides of these shorts is that it sometimes can be very dark and the tone that abruptly shifts during scenes. These shorts are mainly light-hearted but then have dark moments that completely ruin the mood for a few seconds. This is the worst part of these shorts and by far takes away from the experience of the show.
Overall, these new shorts are very appealing to the new generations This show is mainly aimed towards children and pre-teens, but it can be for anyone who enjoys the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies, the Avengers movies, or for anyone wanting to watch a short series that don’t take up your time.
