There were many questions surrounding how the Cowboys would perform without one of the best Quarterbacks in the league. Would Andy Dalton the former starter for the Bengals put the team on his back?
All of these were answered when the Arizona Cardinals showed up, playing an extremely dominant game. Murray is still undefeated in the AT&T stadium. Winning three state titles for Allen High School and a Big 12 championship at the University of Oklahoma.
The young quarterback has been playing phenomenally In his sophomore year, many experts have argued Murrays ability as a franchise quarterback, but he has since proved many doubters wrong.
Murray got off to a rocky start, struggling early the Cardinals punted several times in the 1st quarter giving Dallas plenty of opportunities to score.
The Arizona defense, however, was the story of the night, led by Budda Baker, the now highest paid safety in the NFL after signing a four year contract worth $59 million.
Baker put up an amazing stat line, recording seven tackles, one sack, one forced fumble which resulted in an Arizona touchdown and one interception.
The best offensive play of the night occurred midway through the first quarter when Murray took a shot deep to wide receiver Christian Kirk for a 80 yard touchdown. The Dallas front struggled in a big way, letting up 261 rushing yards to the Cardinals who happily took the opportunity to run the ball.
The Arizona Cardinals beat the Dallas Cowboys in an easy 38-10 victory.
The game itself was very entertaining, if you’re a Cardinals fan. The style of play from both teams was vastly fast paced, bringing a very college football feel to the game.
