The first challenge to survive during the holidays: family time. Mom, played by Kennedy Morgan, gathers her family to take awkward holiday family photos.

After many complaints from her family, Mom feels betrayed.

After upsetting Mom, the family grits their teeth and agrees to take the photos.

The second holiday struggle: gifts. Siblings Seema, played by Chloe Bullock, and Charles, played by Mason Morton, competitively exchange gifts.

The third holiday struggle: caroling. A group of carolers appear at Kaylee and Linus’s door.

Kaylee, played by Trinitee Broom, and Linus, played by Essen Yildrim, compliment the carolers and wait awkwardly for them to leave.

When the carolers do not leave, Linus begs them to go by exclaiming: “Is it money?”

After bribing the carolers to leave, Kaylee asks Linus “Do you want to go caroling?” and Linus smirks debating participating in the lucrative gig.

The fourth holiday struggle: food. Mom, played by Evie Hill, has the challenge of making dinner for a party while constantly being bothered by her family, including her husband Dad, played by Jack Deen.

The narrators, played by Alexander Roman and Ava Lyman, take turns commenting on each of the 8 ways to survive the holidays.

The fifth holiday struggle: holiday music. Radio co-host May, played by Kennedy Morgan, suggests playing new music like Dolly Parton, which upsets the other co-host Jean, played by Angel Vargas.

After convincing Jean to try the new music, corporate calls saying they are not allowed to play Dolly Parton.

Undismayed, the co-hosts instead try playing Cardi B.

The sixth holiday struggle: travel. Crystal, played by Trinitee Broom, commands her family to act accordingly to make sure they catch their flight.

Audrey, played by Chloe Bullock, throws a fit and Jeff, played by Asher Brese, pretends to calm her down to try to cut to the front of the boarding line.

The seventh holiday struggle: decorations. The Grinch, played by Jack Deen, shows off his extravagant holiday decorations to Cindy Lou, played by Kennedy Morgan.

The Grinch deflects Cindy Lou’s protests that the holiday spirit does not come from impressing others.

The eighth holiday struggle: loneliness. Bummed about being dumped by her ex, Abigail, played by Chloe Bullock, lays alone on the couch watching TV.

The ghosts of revenge, Ghost of Past, played by Angel Vargas, Marley, played by Mason Morton and Ghost of Present, played by Essen Yildrim, come to Abigail’s rescue and cheer her up.

Memorial’s advanced drama class takes a bow after performing their 2025 Winter 1 Act.
